Dear chess friends,

it is for me pleasure to welcome you on official pages of 9th annual Chess festival Brno 2009, which is of most considerable chess action in Brno and also on southern Moravia.

We prepare this year's two opening tournaments, tournament A with inclusion on FRL is at the same time open championship of Southern Moravia County in man and women category and tournament B, which will be included on national ELO. We also prepare conventional close tournaments, one grandmaster tournament and two master tournaments.

The tournaments will run in part of reconstructed sports hall of Sokol Reckovice where, we trust that we will created pleasant and dignified atmosphere for all participants of tournaments.
